Gilgit-Baltistan(Northern Areas) is one of the peaceful places and regions of pakistan and one can't expect to hear such a vicious and brutal news about this region, the people are naive hard working and peace lovers.
Gilgit-Baltistan is transcending in education sector nevertheless, there are evils and malice which need to be vanished from root level.
I am writing after a long time about a child (Hasnain,8 years old) who was sexually assaulted by three vicious boys of ages (14,15 and 18 years) in Gilgit city on 11-11-2014. police arrested the three suspects with the help of CCTV cameras. The official said that they sexually assaulted the innocent boy many times and on November 11, when they asked him for sexual company, the boy refused and warned them of telling his parents and on this refusal they killed the boy.
this is a very bad signal for children all over the world and there should be institutions on children abuse. the so called organisations and NGOs should pressurize gov't and make people aware of such type of bad happenings in the peaceful city. meanwhile, i must mention the failed PPP gov't of gilgit baltistan to take severe action on this brutal event.
